What are the Alberta Health Services safety regulations?

These are regulations that have been established by the province of Alberta for your child’s protection. Every licensed artist in Alberta is required to follow them. Briefly, the aim is to prevent the spread of any illness or infection by ensuring that all brushes are disinfected, clean water is used for each child, and each face is thoroughly cleaned prior to painting.


What experience do you have?

BEYOND Face Painting has been part of the Edmonton event landscape since 2005. As such, THE PURPLE TEAM has participated in well over 600 events and has established a reputation of excellence.


Are you experienced with special needs children?

Yes. Our clients include the Autism Society of Canada, the Down Syndrome Society and the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Each artist on our team possesses personal life skills that strengthen their abilities in this area.


How many artists do I need?

Each artist can provide, on average, 12 Face Painting designs per hour. 30 multi-colored Tattoos.


How much do you charge?

Each service requires a small set up fee. Following that our clients enjoy industry standard rates that are determined on a per hour per artist basis. Some discounts apply.


How many artists can you provide?

We specialize in large events and can provide up to 4 face painters, 2 airbrush artists and a hostess for your event.


Is it safe?

We use only FDA approved, hypoallergenic paints of the highest quality. Complete compliance with all aspects of the Alberta Health Services safety requirements.


How do I pay?

We accept VISA, Mastercard, company cheques, American Express and Interac e-transfer.


Are you insured?

Yes. We are commercially insured, City of Edmonton Licensed and Approved.


We are a charity. Will you come to our event for free?

We contribute by providing hands-on services free of charge to a number of pre-determined registered charities. These charities are selected each year, and support causes that directly influence the lives of children.

Reduced rates for charity events of more than 3 hours are considered as time and artist availability allow.

Please provide insight as to what registered charity you are inquiring on behalf of when requesting assistance.


How far in advance do I need to book?

We confirm booking dates for Special Event Days like Community League Day, Canada Day and Christmas up to a year in advance. If you want to reserve our team of up to 6 artists we suggest contacting us as soon as you have your date.

Your spot will be reserved and details can be confirmed as event plans unfold.
